We all get lucky and unlucky, which we really can't control. What we can control is how we play each hand to maximize our winnings and minimize our losses. Do that, and maybe luck won't matter as much. - Matthew Hilger

No matter what you play, there's no substitution for winning, and gambling is for losers.... Poker is the only game where luck combined with skill can result in being a winning player. - Larry Flynt

Finish every day and be done with it... You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it... serenely, and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

When I lose a tough hand, it doesn't bother me that much. Not that I'm not emotional or concerned with what's going on. It's just another poker hand... It's not that big a deal. The most important development for me was reading every single hand, every single thread on the forums. And I wasn't scared to express my opinion. Great players would tell me I was an idiot, but I wanted to know why I was wrong about a hand... Eventually, being wrong a lot led me to finally being right. - Aaron "aejones" Jones
