The most important development for me was reading every single hand, every single thread on the forums. And I wasn't scared to express my opinion. Great players would tell me I was an idiot, but I wanted to know why I was wrong about a hand... Eventually, being wrong a lot led me to finally being right. - Aaron "aejones" Jones

The long and short of position when playing heads up is that you cannot win consistently playing large pots out of position. The most common mistake you will see low stakes players make is simply defending their big blind far too much. It is a constant uphill struggle for these players, as they are consistently putting in more money, in worse spots than their opponent - clearly a recipe for disaster over the long run. - Sorel "Zangbezan/Imperium" Mizzi

If you view everything through the eyes of fear then you tend to stay in retreat mode. You can just as easily view a crisis or problem as a challenge, an opportunity to prove your mettle, the chance to strengthen and toughen yourself, or a call to collective action. By seeing it as a challenge, you will have converted this negative into a positive purely by a mental process that will result in positive action as well. - Robert Greene

If something unexpected takes you by surprise, keep your cool. Just say to yourself 'I should have known'. Be flexible and adjust to the event without missing a beat. Later ask yourself how you could have prepared for the problem in advance. Learn as much as you can from the situation then move on. It will be unlikely you will make the same mistake again. That is how to handle mistakes and problems. That is how to grow and become a master of your business, your career and your life. - Donald Trump
